HELLO GUYS TODAY IN THIS BLOG WE ARE GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE TASTE OF SIKKIM๐Ÿœ... 

In Sikkimese cuisine rice is a staple food, and fermented foods traditionally constitute a significant portion of the cuisine. Nepalese cuisine is popular, as Sikkim is the only state of India with an ethnic Nepali majority. Many restaurants in Sikkim serve various types of Nepalese cuisine, such as the Newa and Thakali cuisines. Tibetan cuisine has also influenced Sikkimese cuisine with dishes like Thukpa and Shabhal. 

 
Thukpa is a Tibetan noodle soup served with either vegetables or meat.  
 

Shabhaley also known as sha phaley, is a Tibetan dish of bread stuffed with seasoned meat and cabbage. It is fashioned into circular or semi-circular shapes and then fried.   


Kinema is a fermented soybean food, traditionally combined in a soup with rice, but served as a side dish with rice or bread. 


Chhurpi is a traditional Nepalese cheese, made from buttermilk.Two varieties of chhurpi exist, one being a soft variety that is usually eaten as a side dish, and hard variety that is chewed.



kodo ko roti is a typical pancake prepared from finger millets 
locally called kodo which is served with different variety of
pickles.
